About Me
I’m Adriana Hernandez, M.S., CCC-SLP, MDCP, a bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist with over 10 years of experience specializing in adult communication and swallowing disorders. Throughout my career, I have provided care across a wide range of clinical settings, including inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, acute care, and skilled nursing facilities.
I earned my Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Florida International University in 2015, and since then, I have dedicated my career to helping individuals regain their communication and swallowing abilities. I specialize in assessing and treating a variety of neurogenic disorders including aphasia, apraxia of speech, dysarthria, dysphagia, dementia, and cognitive-communication impairments resulting from stroke, brain injury, and other neurological conditions. I support patients across all levels of severity—from recent diagnoses to individuals with complex, long-term needs.
I am deeply passionate about helping each person regain independence and reach their fullest potential. My therapy approach is rooted in functional, person-centered care, focused on achieving meaningful, real-world outcomes that improve everyday life. I offer both in-person and telehealth services and hold active licenses to practice in Florida and California.
ICCDP® Certified Montessori Dementia Care Practitioner
I provide person-centered, functional communication support for individuals with dementia, focusing on meaningful daily participation and practical strategies for both patients and caregivers.
Certified Lingraphica Technology Specialist
I’m trained in assessing and integrating Lingraphica Augmentative and Alternative communication (AAC) solutions for adults with communication impairments, using evidence-based technology to promote functional communication, independence, and everyday participation.
